One year later and...

Ashby is on the scene coming in at 9 months on Feb 19 2016! You can tell how busy things have been if I have not posted in 11 months! Ashby quickly arrived on May 19 2015 at nearly 9 lbs and was ready to go! My water broke on his due date and he was born the next morning. He came home to our apartment at Calibre Woods for his first 5 weeks and then we made the move to our new home in Morningside (yay!) after a weeklong trip to Sanibel with the extended Drake family! Katie and Stan were married there, we added some of dad to the Sanibel beach and bridge, and made many great memories as this was when A really started enjoying the sand. To sum Mr. Ashby up:
1 month: something is wrong as he is always upset and it ended up being a cows milk protein allergy. Soon acquired the nickname rat tail pia
5 months: found some satisfaction in being able to sit up
7 months: started crawling and getting into quite possibly everything. Also enabled us to finally go to dinner with him without him screaming uncontrollably.
8 months: started pulling up on things and standing with support.
And here we are at 9 months!!!! He definitely is an active, alert, energetic, short tempered little man but is sweet and such a mamas boy :)
A has been a great big sister and so so patient with her mom and little brother. She just recently started becoming possessive of her toys and even a little push or shove here or there. A started preschool in Aug 2015 at Morningside Presbyterian and truly loves going to school. Her BFF is Parker, which works out well be aside we are friends with his mother Michelle! Arabella loves to sing and play at the park. She loves time with her dad who is insanely busy at work these days. I'm doing well and am working a full 3 days until March at Shepherd Pathways. The house is always a mess and Tosh and I are slowly learning that this is ok and that we need to soak up these days with our children. Love to all and thank you for reading! Suzanne
